WP7 Regional Hazard Workshop I: Heat-related Hazards in Southern Europe
Heat-related hazards in Southern Europe are socio-environmental phenomena produced by a mixture of climatic, hydrological, environmental, socio-economic and cultural forces. Their complexity and context-specificity confounds severity and impact assessments. Enhancing adaptive capacity becomes essential in the face of such uncertain future extremes.

This Regional Hazard Workshop took place in Barcelona in October 2010, using the region around the city as an example and involving local stakeholders as well as experts from both the core and extended project networks. The central outcomes of the workshop will be made available on our website soon.
